Understand the real situation of children and adolescents in Nicaragua, know who they are and how they live - has been the objective of the "Study on Social Exclusion of Children and Adolescents in Nicaragua" conducted by Save the Children. We have compared official statistics related to poverty, education, health, violence and public policies, working with an equity approach to identify children in situation of greatest vulnerability.

This study was the basis for determining the focus of the Every Last Child campaign in Nicaragua, which focuses on children and adolescents in rural areas. Unfortunately rural population, especially those under the age of 18 are at a greater risk of social exclusion than those living in urban areas.
